Kuratandu

IMG_20180214_220816_634.jpg‘Kuratandu’ is a pot-like eyeliner container used for storing local powered eyeliner. The pot is called ‘kuratandu’, ‘kwalli’ is the powdered liner while the liner is called ‘mashiyi’. There are two types of ‘kuratandu’, one made out of skin(i’ll find its picture soon) and the other from metal‎. The skin one is the oldest, used in the olden days, the metal is a recent development, though old in its own way. The picture above is mine given to me by my Mum, given to her by her Mum, and it has been with me for a very long time. It is indeed a treasure to keep, and keep passing it down. By the way I still use the local powdered eyeliner not the modern pencil liner.

Shinkafa da wake they call it
I call it the dish of all dishes
Best among the best
The hunger destroyer

This highly nutritionous indigenous meal
Is prepared with parboiled rice and beans mixed together
In the ancient city of kano
It is considered by most people as
Favourite or special dish
Garnished with pepper,oil (Palm kernel or groundnut),salad,tomato,cabbage,cucumber
all balanced diet present

When cooked by an expert Master chef
you tend to forget where you came from
because of it’s pleasant taste

When given an option
to choose between five star continental dish
I would definitely if given the chance
Choose my shinkafa da wake.

A zahirin gaskiya al’ummar hausawa tana cikin wani matsanancin yanayi da take buƙatar matuƙar addua da gyara. Kowa ya nannade hannu an zuba ido ba wani yunƙuri na kawo gyara, ko kuma yunƙurin bai kai ya kawo ba, sai magana ta fatar baki kaɗai. Tsarin da muka ɗaukowa kanmu tabbas ba hanya ce mai ɓullewa ba, duba da yanda mace-macen aure ke ƙara ta’azzara kullum ƙaruwa yake a qasar hausa. Duk satin duniya sai an ɗaura aurarraki bila adadin‎ amma aure baici talata ba balle laraba har anyi an gama.
Tun ana ɗaukar abin ba wani abu ba ana fadin ai qaddara ce dama haka Allah Ya tsara, har abin ya zarce ya fara zama abin tsoro. Yara qanana an zamar dasu zawarawa, wasu haihuwa daya ko biyu wasu ma ko haihuwar basuyi ba. Hakan yana nufin an lalata tsarin zamantakewa da muka gada tun iyaye da kakanni.
A wancan lokacin kafin kaji mutuwar aure ana dadewa, in kaga bazawara to mijinta ne ya mutu ya barta. Bance ba’a saki ba amma yana da ƙaranci, kowacce mace burinta ta riƙe aurenta gam-gam duk abinda miji yace to umarni ne, basu san meye musu ba, matuƙar bauta suke wa aure. Kuma aurene mafi yawancin lokuta na hadi, bai santa ba bata sanshi ba haka kuma za’a zo a zauna cikin mutunci da girmama juna ko ba soyayya, duk da ƙarancin shekarun da ake musu auren a lokacin.
In har muka zauna muna hada zaman aure na wancan zamanin da wannan da muke ciki, to tabbas zamu ga qoqarin da muke bai kai a yaba mana ba.‎ Son kanmu ya mana yawa, kowa zuciyarsa a hannu ba haƙuri, wallahi lokuta da dama in mamata tana min faɗan aure abin har mamaki yake bani kamar a wata duniyar ta daban sukai rayuwa, takance ‘in miji yana fada ba’a mayar masa shiru ake ya gama’, yanzu kuwa fa? Ai wata matar ma sai muryarta tafi ta mijin ɗagawa.
Suma mazan na wannan zamanin ba’a barsu a baya ba, duk wani nau’in muzgunawa mata sun iya ‘double dating’ kam kamar su suka yanke masa cibiya, sai su haɗa mata wajen huɗu duk sonsu suke musamman masu aure, suna fakewa ne da an yardar musu suyi huɗu, sun san sarai ba auren zasuyi ba, ta gidan sun ɓata mata, ta wajen ma sun bata ‘false hope’. A cikin gidajen nasu ma basu gama sauke haƙƙunansu ba, haɗama ce kawai ke damunsu. Kafin ka ga namijin dake haƙuri da matarsa kaga mata dayawa da zaman haƙuri suke a gidajen mazajensu, wasu suce zaman ‘ya’ya.
Almuhim koma dai menene bama gayawa kanmu gaskia, tubalan da muke ɗora ginin aurarrakinmu ba masu ƙwari bane, qaryace tuli a ciki da ƙarancin gaskia. Sai anje zaman gaskiya ta fito kowa yaga saɓanin tunaninsa, hali yai ta bayyana ɗaya bayan ɗaya. Na zaɓi nayi rubutu akan zamantakewar aure ne duba da yanda yake ƙara taɓarɓarewa a ƙasar hausa, da kuma burin mu taru mu haɗa ƙarfi da ƙarfe mu kawo gyara, da kaɗan kaɗan har babban yazo. Duniya ina zaki damu?

Wannan al’amari yana da matuƙar tsoratarwa kasancewar Sun shafe kusan shekaru biyu suna tare da shi wannan miji nata kafin suyi aure.

Haihuwarta ta kasance tonuwar asirinsu ita da iyayenta da suka boyewa wannan bawan Allah cikin da take dauke dashi inda suka fake akan cewa ƙaba ce take damunta. Cikin ko kuma ɗan da aka haifa na wani saurayi ne wanda suke rage lokaci kafin aure, Hukumar hisba ta jihar Kano ta tabbatar da faruwar wannan al’amari kuma an chafko shi wannan saurayi da yayi mata wannan aika-aika, zuwa yanzu zamu sa ran an sallameta daga adibiti.

Abin tambaya anan shine waye za ɗauki alhakin wannan al’amari? Ire-iren haka na yawan faruwa kuma kowa yayi biris ba wani yunƙuri na kawo gyara, sai dai wasu su zagi yarinyar ko wasu suce ƙaddara ce, kaɗan ne za’a ci nasara suyi shiru da bakunansu, ‘yan baruwana kenan. Wallahi da ruwan kowa, mun bar gini tun ran zane, dole kowa ya tashi a tsaye a haɗa ƙarfi da ƙarfe a magance matsaloli irin waɗannan. Tarbiyya bata iyaye ko malamai kaɗai ba, ta kowa da kowace.

Allah dai Ya kyauta, Ya sa mu dace mufi ƙarfin zukatanmu.

IMG_20180130_081242_281Masu buƙata ta musamman ‘yan adam ne kamar kowa, sai dai suna da wasu nakasu a sassa na jikinsu ta dalilin wata cuta ko kuma a haka aka haifesu. Masu buƙata ta musamman sun kunshi jerin mutane kamar; marasa gani da idanu, guragu, masu matsalar kwakwalwa, marasa ji ko magana da dai sauransu. Wadannan mutane sun kasance suna samun kalubale na tsawon shekaru da dama, duk wanda aka haifa ko yasamu wannnan buƙata ta musamman sai ya zama abun kyama a wajen ‘yan uwa da alummar gari, ko dai ya zama mabaraci a gari ba tare da kula da iliminsa ko baiwar da yake da ita ba. Ni na kasance mai kusanci da wadansu a cikin wadannan mutane shiyasa naga ya kamata nai rubutu akansu.

Watarana wani ɗan uwana mai suna Fatihu ya kirani a waya dan nazo na rakashi wani gida, zuwan mu kenan sai mu ka wata yarinya a kwance a ƙasa da gilas ɗin taga a farfashe a ƙasa da alamun ita ta fasa dan hannunta yana zubar da jini. Sai na tambayeta ko meyasa ta aikata haka, ashe nan gidan yayarta ne ita kuma tana son komawa gida sunƙi kaita. Kana ganinta zakaga alamun rashin nutsuwa a tare da ita, da gani kuma bata samun kulawar data kamata. A wasu lokutan irin waɗannan yara masu karamar matsala da ta danganci kwakwalwa gidan mahaukata tuburan ake kaisu.

Akwai wani abokina wanda yake da lalura ta rashin gani, amma wannan bai hana shi neman ilimi ba har matakin digiri don yanzu haka dalibi ne a Jami’ar Bayero kuma yana da kwazo da hazaka wajen karatu. Mutane za suyi mamaki inna fada musu wannan aboki nawa daga Kura yake zuwa lakca ba wai zama yake a cikin makaranta ba, amma da yawa mutane masu lalura irin tasa a bara suke karewa ba tare da sun samu wata kulawa ba don suma suji dadin rayuwa. Ba abokina kawai ba, wan mahaifina wanda shima yana da lalura ta rashin gani duk da baiyi ilimin boko ba, sai na Muhammadiyya. Wannan bai hanashi yin aure ba har ya haifi yara tare da yi musu tarbiyya sabanin yanda ake watsar da irin wannan mutane suma kamar ba halittarsu akayi ba. Labarina na karshe shine akan wata abokiyar karatuna da ba taji, amma kusanncin mu yafara ne a wata lakca da muka fara haduwa ina aji biyu a Jami’a. Itace mai buƙata ta musamman dana fara zama kusa da sosai bayan wan mahaifina, duk da ban iya magana da hannu ba yanda suke yi duk sanda muka hadu mukanyi hira sosai ta rubutu ko da waya ko littafi har Allah ya dasa min son ta a zuciya har naso na aureta amma tace min ai tana da wanda takeso kuma zumuncin mu na nan har yanzu. Bayan wannan kawa tawa ina da ‘ya ta wadda ita ma bataji a haka aka haifeta duk sanda naganta inajin dadi kuma ina alfahari da yanda muke wasa tare da tsokanar juna. Dayawa daga cikin waɗannan mutane suna cikin wani hali na a tausaya musu, suna nan ana kyamar su ko an barsu suyi bara ko basu san ma inda rayuwarsu ta nufa ba. Jiharmu ta Kano tana da makaranta guda daya kacal da take kula da ilimin masu buƙata ta musamman. Bayan haka sai makarantu biyu masu zaman kansu. Kuma yanzu Gwamnatin tarayya na so a dinga kai mutane masu bukata ta musamman makarantun da kowa ke zuwa saboda kar ana ware su daga cikin alumma dan adaina tsangwamarsu. Ina kira ga Gwamnatocin Jihohi da masu ruwa da tsaki da suyi hoɓɓasa akan taimakon waɗannan mutane masu bukata ta musamman da ganin sun sami ilimi kamar kowa a makarantun da duk yara masu lafiya suke zuwa. Kuma hakan zai yiwu ne in za’a inganta ilimin makarantun kuma akawo malamai da su ka ƙware wajen ilimantar da mutane masu buƙata ta musamman a waɗannan makarantun don su dinga taimakawa malaman makarantar tare da samar da bita ga sauran malamai lokaci lokaci, bitar ba kawai ga malamai ba har iyayen yara saboda su taimaka musu a gida da aikin gida in an basu. Duk wani abin da akeyi da ‘duma’ in ya fashe ko ya tsage to gyartai ke ɗinkewa; ƙwarya, kuttu, ludayi, mara, ƙoƙo, masaki dadaisauransu, duk da dai ita gora ba’a ɗinketa kasancewar ruwa ake zubawa a ciki in ta tsage ko ta fashe saidai a haƙura da ita.

Ko a wancan lokacin ƙasƙantacciyar sana’ace, ba’a cika bata ƙima ba. Lokacin da ba’a ganewa amfani da tangaran ko roba ba, da kayan duma ake amfani wajen aikace-aikacen gida. Sana’ar gyartai na daga cikin da daɗaɗɗun sana’o’in da bahaushe yake yi, na zaɓi yin magana akanta ne a saboda tuna mana da da kuma ‘yan baya su amfana. Kasancewar wannan lokacin ma kafin kaga ƙwarya a gadajen mutane ana daɗewa ɗaiɗaiƙu ne ke da ita sai ko masu tallan fura bare har a tuna da wani mai ɗinkinta ko gyaranta.

Ina muka dosa?

Duba da yanda rayuwa da zamantakewar aure ke ƙara taɓarɓarewa, bamuyi wani yunƙuri na gyarawa ba ko kuma yunƙurin baiyi tasiri ba. Mata a gidajen aurensu suna shan wahala, na wata ya fito fili a sani, na wata kuma ba’a sani. Mazajen aure basu cika duba raunin da mata ke dashi ba ko kuma haƙƙinsu dake kansu, musamman in abin ya haɗa da rashin ilimin addini dana boko.

Indo ta kasance babbar ‘ya ga Malam Rabe, inda take da ƙannai masu yawa. Bayan kammala karatunta na sakandare aka ɗaura mata aure da Malam Tanko wanda kasuwanci ne yake kawo shi garin Kano, manomi ne ɗan asalin jihar Borno, wanda in anyi girbi sai ya kawo garin Kano ya siyar. Kasancewar mahaifin Indo ɗan kasuwa a haka suka hadu da Malam Tanko, har alaƙa ta shiga tsaksninsu. Ɗaki ne ƙwaya ɗaya tal Malam Tanko ya kama musu haya a wata unguwa ta masu ragwamen ƙarfi, gidan babba ne wanda ya haɗa ƙabilu daban-daban, bandaki da madafa guda ɗai-ɗai na haɗaka.

Haka rayuwa ta farawa Indo a gidan aurenta, farkon auren bata fuskanci wata matsala ba sai da tafiya ta nausa, haƙurin zama dai na yau da gobe anayinsa musamman zaman gidan haya. Ba daɗewa Malam Tanko ya tafi garinsu noma, a lokacin Indo tana da tsohon cikin ‘yarsu ta fari, dab da zata haihu ya dawo da shirinsa na suna. Abu dai kamar wasa kamar gaske, in Malam Tanko ya lula sai an ganshi kawai, tun yana watanni ya dawo har ta kai ga sai ai shekara Indo bata sashi a idonta ba, ga ba wani abinci kirki. A cikin wannan yanayinne ta haifi ‘yarta ta biyu, wannan karon haihuwar tazo mata da matsala, ga Malam Tanko baya gari, ta zubar da jini mai yawa, dakyar dangi da maƙwafta aka taimaka mata.

A wannan lokacinne ne iyayenta suka san halin da take ciki, aka taushe aka bata haƙuri tare da nuna mata aure dan haƙuri ne. Bayan samun saƙon haihuwar Indo, Malam Tanko ya jima kafin yazo kano, dayazo ma bai daɗe ba ya koma. Haka rayuwa ta cigaba da garawa, da daɗi ba daɗi da godiyar Ubangiji. Indo ta kama sana’a ta siye da siyarwa dan ta ciyar da kanta da yaranta, dama ba batun makaranta, ɗan abinda take samu bai wuce suci abinci ba. Watarana ta tafi sari a kasuwa, tabar yara a gida tare da wata maƙwafciyarta, sai yaron gidan ya aike su kiran mairuwa a wajen gida, fitarsu ba daɗewa suka haɗu da wani mutum ya siya musu alawa da dabara ya aika babbar gida ya gudu da ƙaramar.

Har yau sai tashin zance, koda Malam Tanko ya samu labari ya taho akai ta nema shiru, sun zazzaga ofishin ‘yan sanda sun kai cikiya, da aka kwana biyu yace tayi haƙuri, in raboce za’a ganta. Ya haɗa karonsa yayi gaba, ya barta da tashin hankali da jin zafi ita kaɗai. Wannan labari ya faru a gaske da kuma dayawa ire-irensa, mace a kodayaushe a ƙasa take, ‘yancin da musulunci ya bamu ma ba’a bamu. Yanzu da ace Indo zata afka wa ruɗin shaiɗan ta fara yawo da bin maza ba wanda zai ga laifin Malam Tanko ita za’a zaga, sai kuji ana cewa ‘da aurenta take karuwanci’. Ko kuma da zata kasa haƙuri ta nemi ya sauwaƙe mata, sai a tsangwameta a kirata da ‘bazawara’, kuma ta koma gida ta ƙara haɗa iyayenta da hidimarta data yaranta ga kuma ƙannanta. Allah Ubangiji Ya kyauta, Ya bamu ikon fin ƙarfin zukatanmu da kuma yi masa biyayya. Bahaushe da Sunayensa

Kamar kowacce ƙabila, duk sunan da bahaushe ya sawa dansa a mafi yawan lokuta akwai ma’anar da yake dashi a wajensa.

A misali akwai sunan rana, shi ya danganta da ranar da aka haifi mutum. In aka haifi mace ranar Lahadi, akance mata Ladi, in kuma namijinexsee Ɗanladi. Ranar Litinin kuma Atine ko Ɗanliti, na ranar Talata kuma Talatu ko Ɗantala. Macen da aka haifa ranar Alhamis kuma Lami, namijin kuma Ɗanlami, na ranar Jumu’a kuma Jummai ko Jimmala, namijin kuma ace Ɗanjummai. Ranar Asabar kuwa sai ace Asabe ko Ɗanasabe.

Bayan sunan rana akwai sunayen da suke zuwa da lokaci ko yanayi. In aka kira mutum da Talle ko Talliya ko Tallafi shine wanda mahaifinsa ya rasu kafin a haife shi, sunan Marka kuma wacca aka haifa a cikin damina. Mati ko Mato sunan namiji ne wanda ya biyo mata ko duk yayyinsa mata ne, macen data biyo maza kuma ana ce mata Kande ko Kandala.

Barau shine wanda yana ƙarami mahaifinsa ya rasu, Ajuji kuma wanda yanuwansa suka mutu shi kaɗai ya rayu, ko mace ko namiji duk sunan ɗaya ne. Gwamma kuma sunan mace ne, ana kiranta da sunan ne idan duk yanuwanta mata ne sai ace ‘gwamma daku da babu’. A wancan lokacin anfi fifita maza akan mata, hakan ne yasa yawan haihuwar mata kan zama abin gori ga mahaifiyarsu. Idan auren mace ya mutu ta koma gida, daga baya ta dawo gidan mijin ta haihu sai a kira ɗan da Sogiji. Duk inda kaji sunan Gambo to mabiyin ‘yanbiyu ne, ko mace ko namiji. Idan aka haifi yaro da rigar mahaifa a jikinsa, sai ace masa Mairiga ko mace ko namiji. Hakanan wanda sanda aka haife shi iyayensa suka samu abin arziƙi da tarin alheri sai a kirashi da Goshi ko wasu suce Yalwa. Azumi ko Ɗanazumi wanda aka haifa a watan Ramadan cikin azumi, Tasallah kuma ranar sallah, haka dai da sauransu.

Sanin sunaye da ma’anoninsu nada matuƙar muhimmanci, kasancewar a wannan zamanin mun aro al’adar daba tamu ba mun yafa, shi zanin aro dai baya rufe katara. Suma ƙabilun da muke aro nasu sunayen duk suma irin waɗannan ma’anonin suke dashi da nasu yaren. Dafatan mun ƙaru kuma mun amfana, ƙofarmu a buɗe take ɗomin karɓar ra’ayoyinku da kuma saƙwanni ta fsaliyuh@gmail.com.

Bahaushe yana amfani da chamfi wajen bayyana halaccin abu ko haramcinsa, ya danganta da abin da yakeso a yarda da shi, ana kuma amfani da chamfi wajen tsoratarwa. Ba ta yadda za’ai maganar asalin al’adar bahaushe ba’a sako chamfi a ciki ba, saboda ƙarfin da yayi har bayan shigowar addinin musulunci ƙasar hausa wasu daga cikin hausawa sun cigaba da amfani da chamfi.

A misali sai ace duk wacca take iza wuta da ƙafa to mayyace, in an haifi ‘yan biyu to sai anyi bara dasu in ba haka ba baza suyi lafiya ba, haka mahaifiyarsu zata daukesu su dinga yawo gida-gida tana bara dasu ana basu sadaka. Idan maiciki ta haihu kafin ayi suna in zata fita ko bandaki ne sai ta tafi da wuƙa, shi kuma ɗan sai asa masa wuƙa a daidai kansa wai kar aljanu suzo kusa dasu. Bahaushe yana da karatun karɓar haihuwa, na binne cibiya, na binne mahaifa da dai sauransu. Haka nan zakaji ana cewa zama a dokin ƙofa ba kyau, yana sa aljanu su shiga jikin mutum ko ace saka ƙonannen kaya ba kyau, shi kuma yana kawo tsiya da talauci. Sukan ce idan tsakiyar tafin hannunka na dama yana ƙaiƙayi, to kudi zaka samu, in kuma na hagu ne to zaka rasa kudi ko kuma in fatar saman ido tana rawa to mutum zai ga wanda ya daɗe bai gani ba.

Wasu daga cikin waɗannan chamfe-chamfe ana amfani dasu har yanzu, sun zama a cikin al’amuranmu na yau da kullum da ba wanda zai gaya maka tushensu, sai dai kaji ance “nima haka naji ance”. Na zaɓi nayi magana akan chamfi ne a yau badan inaso a farfaɗo da shi ba a matsayin al’ada ba, sai dan mu ƙaru da juna, yan baya kuma su sani. 04072017N.Northern-NigeriaTatsuniya wani ƙagaggen labari ne da iyaye da kakanni suke amfani dashi wajen aika saƙo da gina tarbiyyar ƙananan yara. A al’adance anfi yin tatsuniya da daddare, bayan anci abincin dare. A irin wannan lokacinne ‘yanmata da samari kan tafi dandali su kuma yara kanyi tatsuniyoyi da wasanni a cikin gida.

Duk da dai mafi yawan labarin dake ciki ba gaskiya bane, su kansa mutum lulawa duniyar tunani, ya dinga gani kamar gaske; su dodo, gizo da ƙoƙi, kogin madara, gonar nama, budurwar danƙo dadaisauransu. A yarinta, kowa a cikin sa’o’insa akwai tatsuniyar da ya fiso, wanda da an zauna za’ai tatsuniya ita zai bayar, baya gajiya da maimaitata. Tatsuniyar gizo da ƙoƙi ita tafi shahara, akwai ɗan ƙashin gwiwa, saniya mai magana, takitse, shaida, Nagoma, daskindariɗi dadaisauransu. Duk waɗannan saƙonni suke isarwa akan sha’ani na zamantakewa; bin na gaba, biyayya ga iyaye, rashin tasirin asiri, ƙarshen ƙarya, ƙarshen ƙwadayi da makamantansu.

A misali, labarin dake cikin tatsuniyar Nagoma yayi nuni akan illar ƙarya da ha’inci, cin amana da kuma ƙarshen me yinsu. Nagoma ya kasance babba a cikin gidansu, yana da ƙannai tara, mahaifinsu maharbi ne. Kullum yaje harbi ya dawo da tsuntsun daya harbo sai nagoma ya ɗauka ya gasa ya cinye shi kadai, kullum haka, in an tambaya sai kowa yave bashi bane, da abin ya ishi mahaifinsu sai yace aje kogin rantsuwa. Na ɗaya ya shiga yayi rantsuwa da waƙa:

Ni na ɗaya na ɗayan babaye,

In ni naci tsuntsun babaye,

Ruwa tafi dani, kar ka dawo            dani.

A haka har aka zo kan nagoma, aikuwa ruwa ya tafi dashi, yanuwansa da mahaifinsa sukaita kuka da baƙin ciƙin rabuwa dashi. Ruwa yakai nagoma bakin ruwa wajen wata dodanniya, yana ta kuka ya roƙi dodanniya kar ta cinye shi, ta haƙura ta mayar dashi ɗan ta, ta siya masa doki yana zuwa gari yana mata tallan ƙosai. Bayan shekaru, watarana yana tafiya sai yanuwansa suka ganshi, a haka har ya kaisu wajen dodanniya suka roƙeta ta yarda zata bada shi amma sai an bata kayan abinci ɗari da gomiya bakwai, haka kuwa akai. Aka kaiwa dodanniya kwaɗi da ƙwari ta yarda nagoma ya dawo gida cikin yanuwansa da alƙawarin bazai ƙara sata ba.

Burin mu a kullum shine al’adun bahaushe da suke da kyau a farfaɗo dasu, a taimaki yara masu tasowa wajen saita musu tunani da tarbiyya. Duk da dai yanzu fasahar zamani tayi awon gaba da mafi yawa na al’adar, mun zubar da tamu mun ari ta wasu. Allah Ya sa wannan ya zame mana kukan kurciya.
